What’s the Klan about? White supremacy:

And for women too!

Took at trip to the Goodhue County Historical Society recently and went through their file on the Ku Klux Klan, most things were articles that I’d seen before, but there was a first person interview with a few pages on KKK activity in Red Wing that he’d seen.

One new find was the Kourier, a KKK publication, in this case one from November, 1925:

The other was a book Alan had taken out from the library, Uncertain Lives: African Americans and Their First 150 Years in the Red Wing, Minnesota Area, by Frederick L. Johnson, our famed local historian, and I picked out a few relevant selections (none currently available at abebooks):
